After four years of ministry in Scotland and another two in South Africa we’re still settling in and finding our feet in North Carolina. My husband, Mark, is now the Executive Director of a missions organization called Global Impact Resources. We feel privileged to be serving the organization that first helped send me to Scotland, where we met, in 2005.

Funny how things work out, huh?

Global Impact aims to touch the nations by empowering missionaries to serve locally and overseas. About fifteen missionaries and their families are serving under the banner of Global Impact at present. After personally experiencing some of the challenges of being far away from home, often isolated, and sometimes underfunded, we feel privileged to have the opportunity to serve and encourage other missionaries on the field. We are very well acquainted with how tough it can be!

Along with ministry for Global Impact, we serve in our local church, Greenville Christian Fellowship, and speak or share when we’re given the opportunity at other churches in the area. We love welcoming people into our home and sharing life and God’s goodness one on one. And I love using words — speaking them or writing them down — to be a blessing to whoever might find them.

That’s our work in a nutshell! If you have any questions, please feel free to comment or contact cedcollie {at} gmail {dot} com.

I just read Jn. 13:12 yesterday, “When He had finished washing their feet, He put on His clothes and returned to His place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” He asked them. “YOu call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, Your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no sevant is greater than his master, nor is a messemger greater than the one hwo sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”
And then, today your blog is featured on the wordpress main page. What a coincidence! I’ll show my husband your site and pray about how we can partner with you in South Africa. In the meantime, may God bless as you wash His feet. “For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you invited me in…” (Matt. 25:35) http://www.gloriadelia.wordpress.com
